Clarinet Day 2016

    • instruments, accessories, music and reeds from Taplin-Weir and Long & McQuade

2016 Clarinet Day Registration:

Advance online registration is now closed (3 p.m., Friday, February 26). See below for details on in-person registration. We can't wait to welcome you to the Don Wright Faculty of Music!

Activites are tailored to fit each participant's level of experience. Participants will be together the whole day, and younger participants can be buddied-up with Western students upon request.

Fee includes Friday's opening recital, Saturday's lunch, and a private lesson for the first 24 registrants
- $25 if registered by the deadline: 3 p.m. on Friday, February 19th. (online or paper version)
- $28 late registration by 3 p.m. on Friday, February 26th with less ability to accommodate for lessons etc.
- $30 (payable in cash only) for last-minute registrations is accepted in the Talbot College Atrium on Friday, Feb. 26th starting at 7:15pm before the guest artist recital, and Saturday, Feb. 27th starting at 8:00am.

PLEASE NOTE: The fee to participate in Clarinet Day includes admission to the Clarinet Day Opening Recital on Friday, February 26 at 8 p.m. in von Kuster Hall, Music Building, Western University. This concert, featuring James Campbell and Western's own pianist Stephan Sylvestre, is also open to non-Clarinet Day participants, with a $10 admission fee payable (in cash only) at the door for the public. Advance ticket sales are only available for Clarinet Day participants. NOTE: This is a FREE concert for all Western University students, faculty and staff (bring your WesternONE ID card).

His former students have played in orchestras including Amsterdam's Concertgebow Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony, the Montreal Symphony, the Chicago Civic Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony, and several US military bands, and they hold teaching positions at universities and conservatories worldwide. He has given master classes on five continents including the Royal Academy in London, the Tokyo College of Music, the Moscow Conservatory, the Rotterdam Conservatory, the University of Southern California, the Beijing Conservatory, and throughout Australia and Canada.
