Alyssa Michalsky BMus, BEd, MMus (Toronto)

Ms. Michalsky is a professional harpist and harp teacher in Hamilton, Ontario. Beginning her musical studies at age three on three different instruments, she went on to win numerous musical awards and scholarships including top distinctions in Canadian festivals and 1st place at the National Harp Competition in 2001.

Having completed her university studies with renowned harpist Judy Loman, she subsequently recorded two classical harp and flute CD's and two contemporary solo harp albums on her Lyon and Healy Concert Grand Electric Harp.

As well as adjudicating for the Toronto Chapter of the American Harp Society competition, and the London Harp Kiwanis Festival, Ms. Michalsky travels across Canada examining harp students for the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Currently housing a private music studio of over 20 students, Ms. Michalsky is also known for being one of the most active performing harpists providing electric harp entertainment to clients all over Ontario, blending classical sounds and techniques with her uniquely stylized arrangements of contemporary music.
