Audition Information for Harp and Guitar
Applicants must:
1. Be prepared to play two pieces of contrasting styles of at least Grade VIII Conservatory level of difficulty (Grade X for prospective Performance candidates).
2. Be prepared to play scales, arpeggios and other technical tests. The technical requirements as outlined for Grade VIII, Conservatory Canada or The Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto would serve as a guide to the minimum level expected.
3. Be prepared to sightread at approximately Grade VI level. The guitar student must own or be prepared to purchase an instrument of professional quality. It is recommended that students contact their future teachers before purchasing an instrument.
