Jiazhi Sun discovers profound fulfillment in his musical journey, evolving alongside younger generations worldwide. Before coming to Canada, Jiazhi enjoyed a schedule with over 55 annual performances. He's dedicated to his music as both a solo and collaborative pianist, with a secondary focus on electronic-acoustic timbre arrangements. His voyage has taken him to celebrated music festivals across Asia and North America, where he has graced prestigious stages in China. In 2018, he advanced to the finals in the China National Post-secondary School Piano Faculty's Competition (Junior Golden Bell Award), hosted by the China Higher Education Association. Collaborating with conductor Xiaolan Lei and the Men's Glee Club at Yibin University, they earned the second award in the Sichuan Choral Competition hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture in 2021.

An intrinsic ardor for solo and vocal collaborations pulses within him, finding expression in multifaceted, cross-disciplinary ventures. He and his students have been performing and engaging in various solo and collaborative performing events, partnering with institutions such as the Shanghai Conservatory, Tongji University, Sichuan Conservatory, Shenyang Conservatory, Yibin University, Chengdu University, Western University, and the Liszt Academy of Music. Currently, he is studying large vocal ensemble conducting with Professor Tracy Wong. He served as a collaborative pianist for the Chorale at Western from 2021 to 2023 and has been involved in the opera workshop at Western since 2021, under the supervision of Professor Simone Luti. Together with Conductor Xiaolan Lei and Cory Alexander, they have performed in over fifteen cities worldwide over the past eight years.

Jiazhi's doctoral research delves into the realm of 'Metaphoric Unity in Granados' 'Goyescas,' an intricate fusion intertwining Acoustic Phonetics, Rhetoric, and Theatrical Artistry within the context of the piano cycle. Originally from Heilongjiang, China, Jiazhi Sun graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Shenyang Conservatory, where he studied with Professor Dongni Ma and Fang Zhang. He received mentorship in the studio of Professor Kevin Robert Orr and taught group piano lessons at the University of Florida from 2015 to 2017. He held the position of Assistant Professor at Yibin University for four years, where he received Intensely competitive teaching awards twice among fifteen faculties in 2019 and 2020, ranking second in teaching evaluations among the School of Music and Performing Arts. He is a DMA candidate at Western University under the guidance of Professor Stéphan Sylvestre. His music is distributed by Symphonic.
